Installation method and matters needing attention of Ball Valve

Preparation before installation.
(1) the front and rear lines of the ball valve are ready. The front and rear pipes should be coaxial and the two flange cover should be parallel. The pipe should be able to bear the weight of the ball valve, otherwise the pipe must be properly supported.

(2) purge the pipeline before and after the valve and remove the oil pollution, welding slag and all other impurities in the pipe.

(3) check the mark of the ball valve and find out that the ball valve is in good condition.

Turn the valve on and off several times to confirm that it is working properly.

(4) remove the protective parts on the connecting flanges at both ends of the ball valve.

(5) check the valve hole to remove possible dirt, and then clean the valve hole. Even small particles of foreign matter between the seat and the ball may damage the seat sealing surface.

Place it above the pipe installation.

(1) install the valve on the pipeline. Either end of the valve can be installed at the upstream end. The valve driven by the handle can be installed anywhere on the pipe. However, ball valves with gearboxes or pneumatic drives should be installed upright, that is, on horizontal pipes and driven.

(2) the gasket is installed between the valve flange and the pipeline flange according to the pipeline design requirements.

(3) the bolts on the flange should be tightened symmetrically, step by step and evenly.

(4) connecting pneumatic pipeline (when pneumatic driver is used).

Post-installation inspection.

(1) operate the drive to open and close the ball valve several times, should be flexible without stagnation, to prove that its work is normal.

(2) the sealing performance of the flange joint between the pipe and the ball valve is checked according to the pipeline design requirements.
